Harvested seedlings / cones from Sequoia tree

Sequoia (the Mother tree).

The largest trees in the world.

You will receive sequoia seeds with your Lost Boy purchase and with this, an opportunity. We have an opportunity to plant something in our lifetime. I see the seed project as a rebellion.

Sequoias are unique. In the wild, they are a mammoth known as the indestructible giant. Carefully chosen for this project, Sequoia’s can be legally grown throughout all of North America, but to cut them down is illegal. They are resilient to forest fires and need fire for their cones to release seeds (I took care of that for you). This tree has lived beyond many things on planet Earth and will live beyond us. They are watchful towers of history. California’s oldest tree may have already lived for 4000 years. Follow where you’d like to see these small seeds take life. They hold power.

-Look for a barren open space, preferably not in your back yard because these trees become giants.

-Feel for a place that you think will be good for this seedling to take growth.

-Enjoy life

The sequoia seeds can be planted any time of year.

If you want a closer relationship with the sequoia growth process. You can sprout by soaking them in cup of hydrogen peroxide for 24hrs, then place them in the fridge with the wet paper towel method for 14-20 days. Move the zip lock to a window sill and grow them until it’s time to replant in soil, then transfer outside.
